What I have delivered

Programmes from both sides of veterinary: a PIMS rollout, a preventative care subscription, an enterprise software deal and a payments RFP.

Pets at Home PIMS rollout, with Provet

From 1 site to 100+

How it started

When I joined, the Provet PIMS (practice management system) rollout for Pets at Home had run for more than two and a half years and had delivered one site.

What I did

  • Audited why the programme was stalling
  • Restructured the delivery team
  • Changed the hypercare model
  • Forward deployed team members to the Pets at Home organisation

Outcome

44 locations live in my first six months, more than 100 within a year, and a signed plan covering all 470 by the end of H1 2027.

Pet Health for Life subscription, Linnaeus (Mars Veterinary Health)

120,000+ customers

How it started

Linnaeus wanted one consolidated preventative care subscription across its whole primary care estate.

What I did

  • Created the programme structure, including workstreams, governance and the project plan
  • Conducted a deep scoping phase, including customer, competitor and commercial analysis
  • Directed two pilots, setting the success criteria for each
  • Oversaw the full rollout across all 180+ locations within 18 months

Outcome

Every location adopted it. Over 120,000 active customers, more than £25m in annual recurring revenue (ARR), and subscription penetration up from under 20% to 30%. The model then shaped subscription guidance across Mars Veterinary Health's international businesses, including AniCura and Banfield.

Greencross Vets enterprise deal, Vetera, Australia

160+ sites signed

How it started

Greencross Vets was the first prospective enterprise customer for Vetera in the Australian market.

What I did

  • Ran a defined scoping exercise with the customer before signature
  • Created statements of work covering the product and implementation services required
  • Provided subject matter expertise through to signature
  • Created Vetera's ramp up plan to enter and succeed in Australia

Outcome

Vetera signed its first enterprise deal in Australia, with all 160+ locations set to be onboarded by the end of 2027.

Linnaeus payments RFP

£100m+ payments consolidated

How it started

Linnaeus had three incumbent vendors processing direct debit and recurring card payments across its estate, and wanted to consolidate to one. Together, these transactions were worth more than £100m a year.

What I did

  • Led the request for proposal (RFP) process with all three vendors
  • Worked with internal stakeholders to make sure their requirements were captured and met
  • Rigorously evaluated the three vendors

Outcome

The chosen vendor won a multi-million pound contract, and the relationship is still running five years on.

Also

  • 6+ months inside a live CMA investigation. Supporting the Linnaeus Data and Analytics team through a Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) investigation, supplying the underlying data and contributing to operational change recommendations.
  • 2-year data warehouse migration to the cloud. Moving the Linnaeus data warehouse from an on-premises SQL Server to Microsoft Azure.
  • 2 products at a veterinary start up. At Lupa Pets, I gave the founders, engineers and product team industry guidance and helped shape Lupa OS and Lupa Notes for their alpha customers.
